# Aminte Privacy Policy *Last updated: July 2026* Aminte is a browser extension that turns words you've saved on LingQ into Anki flashcards. It is an unofficial tool, not affiliated with LingQ Languages Ltd. or the Anki/AnkiConnect projects. ## The short version Aminte collects nothing. There are no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, and no servers of ours. Everything the extension does happens locally in your browser, and your data goes only to places you already control. ## What the extension accesses, and where data goes **lingq.com.** When you click "Send to Anki," the extension reads the currently open lesson - its text, your saved words and their meanings, sentence translations, and (if audio is enabled) generated text-to-speech clips - using your own logged-in LingQ session, exactly as your browser does when you use LingQ normally. Nothing is written to your LingQ account, and nothing from it is sent anywhere except into your own Anki. **Your own computer (Anki).** Cards and audio files are sent to the Anki desktop app running on your machine, via the AnkiConnect add-on on localhost. This never leaves your computer. **ExtensionPay (only if the paid audio unlock is enabled, and only when used).** Purchase status checks and payments are handled by ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com), with payment processing by Stripe. When active, the extension asks ExtensionPay whether this install has purchased the audio unlock; ExtensionPay stores a random key identifying the install and, if you buy, the email you provide at checkout. We never see or store your payment card details - those go directly to Stripe. See ExtensionPay's and Stripe's own privacy policies for their handling. In builds without the unlock enabled, no connection to ExtensionPay is ever made. **Nowhere else.** The extension makes no other network connections. ## What is stored, and where Your settings (deck names, tags, context, levels, accent, audio and pacing preferences) are stored locally in your browser's extension storage. Cards, their content, and audio clips are stored in your own Anki collection. If you use Anki's sync, that data syncs through your AnkiWeb account under Anki's own terms - the extension has no part in that. ## What we collect on our side Nothing. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting, no usage analytics, no advertising, and no sale or sharing of data - because no data ever reaches us. ## Your content The words you save, the lessons you read, and the cards created from them are yours. Lesson texts themselves may be subject to their authors' and LingQ's terms; the extension copies them only into your personal, private Anki collection for your own study. ## Changes If a future version changes any of the above (for example, adding a new network connection), this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be noted in the extension's changelog. ## Contact Questions: contact@aminte-ext.com
